‘The Musketeers’ BBC’s major new Drama audio posted by Hackenbacker

We’re really pleased and excited to have been chosen to provide the full audio post production on ‘The Musketeers’ a brand new drama due to air on BBC1 in 2014.

‘The Musketeers’ is set in seventeenth century Paris and tells the story of an elite group of soldiers who protect the king at any cost. D’Artagnan (Luke Pasqualino), Athos (Tom Burke), Aramis (Santiago Cabrera) and Porthos (Howard Charles) are brothers in arms, fighting for what is just regardless of personal risk.

Sound editors Tom Williams and Darren Banks have been kept busy providing the tracks for Re-Recording Mixer Nigel Heath. The highly detailed foley from Keith Partridge and Stuart Bagshaw is mixed by Alex Fielding. The final mix comes together in our Studio One with Nigel Heath at the desk.

Nigel says, “The Musketeers is pretty much the dream job for us, there’s some fantastic opportunities for sound in this series, the stories are brilliant, the show looks amazing and the score by Murray Gold via Air Studios sounds astonishing, all in all it’s been a fantastic experience. The mixes have run extremely smoothly which is a testament to the fine work done by our sound editors”.

The 10-part drama (10x60-minute) is a BBC Drama Production for BBC One, co-produced with BBC America in association with BBC Worldwide.
Jessica Pope is the BBC executive producer, Adrian Hodges is an executive producer and lead writer, and Colin Wratten is producer.
